He was born April 15, 1954, to Charles McMullen Sr. and Madeline L. Hicks McMullen. He grew up in Champaign where he attended public school and was a graduate of Champaign Central High School in 1972.
He served in the Marine Corps from 1976 to 1979 as an Auto Mechanic. He earned the Good Conduct Medal and was Honorably Discharged.
Throughout his life he worked various jobs just to name a few Clifford and Jacobs, Alloy Casting, U of I, and Kraft Foods. He obtained a commercial drivers license and drove semi-trucks for 35 years for various companies. He retired from PGT Trucking Company in 2020.
He met the love of his life in Champaign in 1974 and married Linda K. in 1978. To that union they were blessed with children to whom he leaves to cherish his wife Linda K., his sons Jarrad (Latoya) Davenport of Virginia, Justin (Mika) McMullen of Champaign, Andrew (Kristy) McMullen of California, Jarin (Kate) Myles of Champaign, Troy McMullen of Rantoul, daughters, Toya (Michael) Ward of Champaign, Shayla (Monty) Daaja of Indiana, Neva (Henry) Reaves of Tennessee, 23 grandkids and 1 great grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his sister, Charlene McMullen Foster Henderson, his brothers, William Kent, Thomas McMullen, Freeman McMullen, Charles McMullen, and Henry McMullen.
For those of you that knew Mack best he lived his life with a purpose and never met a stranger and his personality was straight forward, telling it like it is. He loved spending time with family and friends and offering advice. He was a member of the American Legion Post #559 Champaign, Ill. American Legion Post #568 Gibson City, Ill, ABATE Eastern Ill Chapter Champaign, Ill, Gold Wing Riders Association. He joined the Champaign Eagles in the early seventies serving as President and Vice President at one time. He loved riding his motorcycle and listening to his music.
