Charles Mclaughlin

Danville- Charles William McLaughlin, 87, 0f Tilton, passed away on August 21, 2013. Born February 20, 1926 in Fountain County, IN. Son of Charles E and Olga H McLaughlin. Surviving him are five children, Pamela (Chip) Barnett, IL. Charlotte Musson, MO. Tracy (David) Rusk, IL. April (Don) Samol, SC. And John Charles McLaughlin; also surviving are nine grandkids and 15 great-grandkids. Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth Ann, His father and Mother, three brothers and two sisters. Charles was a WW II Navy veteran. He retired after 33 years from General Motors as a Millwright. He served as a master mason for 50 years and was a life time member of Catlin lodge 285. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, Mushroom hunting, working with wood and travelling to Florida. He will be sadly missed by his daughters his son and his extended family. A celebration of Charles life will be held at 2:00pm on August 23, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Bill Fulton officiating and burial at Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00pm August 23, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Charles name to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimers Foundation. Following the Committal service at Sunset Memorial Park everyone in attendance is invited to come and celebrate Charles life at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1949 N. Bowman ave Danville, IL. refreshments provided.
