Charles M. 'Pat' Patterson

GEORGETOWN - Charles M. Pat Patterson, 92, of Georgetown passed away at 12:57am, Monday, January 28th, 2008, at his home. He was born in Georgetown, IL, on February 8th, 1915, the son of Charles A. and Lenora (LaMar) Patterson, both deceased. He was united to Madonna Maskel on February 1st, 1936, in Georgetown until her death on July 6th, 2005. Survivors include: his sons, Robert Patterson, Richard Patterson, & John Patterson, all of Georgetown; his daughters, Donna (Robert) Brimner of Grandview, IL, & Bonita (Stephen) Cook of Cayuga, IN; his eleven grandchildren; and his many great grandchildren as well as several great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his five brothers, James, Kenneth, Glen, Wayne, & Tom Patterson; and his sister, Elizabeth Ridge. Pat was a member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown. He had worked for International Harvester in Ridge Farm and Allerton. He had also worked for Bennett/Emmert Lumber Company, the Grab-It-Here Store, as well as the Georgetown IGA and Biggs Marathon. A celebration of Pats life will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, January 31st, 2008, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL. Reverend Leon Korb will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8pm on Wednesday, January 30th, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in his name to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church or Carle Hospice or Donors Choice.
