Charles M. Crane

Charles " Chuck" M. Crane age 69 of Danville passed away at 12:25 am Friday, September 10, 2004 at USMC Provena Logan Campus. He was born July 3, 1935 in Danville the son of the late Edwin and Tassie Ellen Berry Crane. He had married Janet A. Whitman on June 6, 1954, in Danville. She survives. Chuck and Janet had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Survivors include five daughters Sue E. (Glen) Davis, Beatrice Ann (Doug) Hance, Tammy S. (John) Hazelbaker, Kimberly J. (Tim) Bradfield and Janet M. (Sam Rhodes) Runyan, three sisters Kay Acker, Marie Walls and LuLabell (Jim) Kardos, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. His parents, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Chuck worked as a mechanic for 35 years at the former Kramer's Standard Station and also for Green Chevrolet until his retirement. Chuck was an avid Cardinal fan, loved to bowl, play golf, and build racecars and race them.
