Charles Leon Todd

Champaign - Charles "Chubby" Leon Todd, 77, passed away on Tuesday October 24, 2017 at VA Illiana Health Care System - Palliative Care Unit in Danville, IL. He was born on January 10, 1940 in Urbana, IL to Charles and Lois (Shirley) Todd. Chubby married his high school sweetheart Linda Mae Morrow on May 12, 1960 in Iowa. Chubby is survived by his wife; daughters Cindy Sonstegaard and Kellie Pritchard; grandchildren Elizabeth, Rachel, and Zachary Sonstegaard, Alicia, Michael, Katherine, and Mollie Pritchard; great-grandchildren Caleb, Michael Jr., and Lillian Pritchard; siblings Mary Jane Ham of Tolono, Mike Todd of Tolono, Louis (Paula) Todd of Charleston, Tom (Theresa) Todd of Tolono, Lenora (Jim) Jones of Catlin, Janice (Kevin) Shepard of Catlin, Robin Price of Tolono, and Tim (Rhonda) Price of Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents. Chubby served as a Captain in the United States Army. His relationship with his family and the Lord were most important to him, and he loved to spend time with his grand and great-grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held in Chubby's honor from 4-7pm on Monday October 30, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL 61820. A graveside committal with military rites will be held at 10am on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at Prairieview Cemetery in Savoy, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Chubby's name to VA Illiana Palliative Care Unit or Circle of Friends Adult Day Center.
