Charles Guy Freeman

Rossville Charles Guy Freeman, 92, of Rossville, formerly of Veedersburg, IN, passed away on June 17, 2021 at his daughters home in Rossville, IL.

Charles was born on February 17, 1929 the son of Guy and Irene (Taylor) Freeman in Danville, IL.

Survivors include his son, Daniel (Margaret) Freeman of Hoopeston, IL, his three daughters, Rita (William) Pearson of Rossville, IL, Rebekah Gillis and Rachel Goble both of Fruitland Park, FL, as well as fourteen grandchildren, 32 great- grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Helen Phylis Roose Freeman, Norma Jean Booe Freeman, one son, Chuckey Freeman, and one daughter, Judy MacIntary.

Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hoopeston, IL and worked for several newspapers in the circulation department over the years. He worked for Commercial News as the Circulation Manager in Danville, IL, started the Commercial News in Covington, IN and later in life worked in the Circulation Department of the Fairbanks Alaska newspaper. He enjoyed spending his free time playing golf, bowling, playing cards, especially Euchre.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be at held at 9:00 AM CST on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown, IN. Brad Cristy will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown, IN. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N Vermilion St. in Danville, Illinois.

Memorials may be made in Charles memory to the charity of the donors choice.
