Charles Graves, 76, of Danville passed away on April 23, 2019 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville.
He was born in Adolphus, KY on April 17, 1943 the son of Harold Leon and Thelma Lee (Hinton) Graves. He married Patricia Cook on June 17, 1978 she survives.
Charles will be deeply missed by his wife Patricia, daughters; Terri (Floyd) Reed, Jeannine (Jack) Keller and Paula Jacko, brother, Tom (Karen) Graves, sisters; Katie (Bruce) Butts, Charlotte (Stan) Meredith and Pattie (Joe) Looker, grandchildren; Dan, AJ, Pattie, Becky, RT, Amber, Zac and Derek, great grandchildren; Matilda, Megan, Amanda, Kristina, Tyler, Lorin, Heather, Gracie, Chuckie, Dillion, Dayton, Spencer, Maylene, Eli and five great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Kathy Giazat, Becky Bradford and one brother, Rickey Graves.
Charles served in the United States Navy. He worked as a machinist at Heatcraft in Danville for many years. Charles was a member of the Danville American Legion Post #210, Further light Lodge as a 32nd Degree Mason, Shriners, Gao Grotto and St. Pauls Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service to celebrate Charles life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum in Danville. Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or Danville Gao Grotto.
