Charles Edmonds, 93, of Danville, passed away at 4:32pm, Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Danville Care Center, Danville. He was born on November 5, 1924, in Eugene, Indiana, the son of Hermann Keith and Ruth {Bartley} Edmonds. He was marred to Mary Lee Toliver in 1951 until 1958 and she passed away in 2015. He is survived by: his daughter, Rhonda (Mark) Bryant; his grandchildren, Caine Woods (Dorothy Sanders) Nathan Bryant, Melanie (Ben) Paxton, Rehnea (Carl) Nunnally, & Shea Glick (Miranda Manion); his 9 great grandchildren; and his sister, Bell Morgan. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his daughter, Cheryl; his siblings, Betty Ruth, Bob, John R., Arline, & JoAnn. Charles was a Veteran of the US Navy and served during World War II. He grew up in agriculture and later worked at Hyster. He enjoyed gardening and sold produce. He also enjoyed going fishing and mushroom hunting and enjoyed baseball. Charles was a die-hard Cub Fan. A Visitation will be held on Thursday August 16, 2018, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St, Westville. He will be laid to rest in Yankee Point Cemetery in rural Georgetown at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be given in his name to a local hospice service.
