Charles E. Moseley, 70, of Champaign, passed away at 10:53 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 6, 1945 in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Mary Moseley Walker. He married Nancy Sarver on August 8, 1963 in Tuscola. She survives. Other survivors include his 2 children, Annette Goodwin of Tuscola and Charles E. Moseley II of Villa Grove; 2 grandchildren, Roy A. (Alissa) Goodwin of Pesotum and Charles Zackery Moseley of Effingham; and 2 great-grandchildren, Sean J. Goodwin and Cadence Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Charles was a cable splicer and a lineman for AT&T, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the St. Joseph Sportsman Club, where he enjoyed shooting trap. He was a 2nd degree black belt in karate, and also enjoyed photography as well as his sports cars. A celebration of the life of Charles E. Moseley will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Champaign-Urbana Chapel, 710 N Neil Street Champaign. Officiating services will be Rev. Joe Carter. As per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private burial will be held Monday, November 30 at Danville National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #210 of Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Charles' name to the Champaign County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
