Tangier, Ind. -- Charles E. Livengood, 76, of Tangier, passed away at 2:10 p.m. EDT Saturday, April 11, 2009 at his residence. Charles was born April 17, 1932 in Silverwood, Indiana, the son of Winfred "Dutch" and Dessire Goodwin Livengood. Survivors include his children, Charles Roy Livengood of California; Jimmy Dale Livengood and Dessire Jean Livengood both of Washington State; his mother, Dessire Livengood of Tangier, Indiana; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Bishop of Tangier, Indiana; Betty(Bill)Sowers of Rockville, Indiana and Bonnie(Royce)Austin of Bloomington, Indiana; one brother, Bill(Donna)Livengood of Mitchell, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Winfred "Dutch" Livengood. Charles was a self employed carpenter. He was a veteran serving with the United States Air Force. Graveside services and burial: 11 a.m. EDT, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Miller Cemetery in Lodi, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer. There will be no visitation. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
