Charles E. Erwin Jr.

Charles E. Erwin, Jr. "Chuck" of Ridge Farm, Illinois, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at age 74. He was born February 24, 1947, in Kankakee, Illinois to Charles Sr. and Helen Erwin. Both parents have preceded him in death.

Chuck graduated from Watseka Community High School in 1966 and soon after joined the United States Navy. He was a boiler technician aboard ship and used his training and experience in civilian life at Devro Teepak in Danville, Illinois for 40 years.

Chuck married Jane Harris of Martinton, Illinois on November 19, 1966, and their union was blessed with a daughter and a son, Jennifer, and David (Kim). All three have survived him. he is also survived by three grandchildren Tessa, Kirsten and Colby; brother, William and his wife Judy and a sister, Debi.

Chuck was much loved and will be greatly missed by his family, his church family, and my friends.

A celebration of Chucks life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois, 200 E. West St, Georgetown, Illinois 61846. Rev. Aaron Rohde will be officiating the service. A visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery with a private family graveside service. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Chucks honor to Bethel Baptist Church in Georgetown.
