Charles 'Duane' Rowland

Charles Duane Rowland, 71, of Urbana, Ill., died Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Urbana, Ill.

Duane was born May 1, 1950, in Macomb, Ill., the son of Charles F. Rowland and Patricia A. (Smith) Rowland.

Duane was passionate about American Indian customs and culture. He also had a deep love for the Missouri Ozarks, the site of his fathers childhood home.

He is survived by siblings Linda (Wayne) Dorethy, Tennesee, Ill.; Sherry Longcor, Urbana, Ill.; brothers Jim, Champaign, Ill.; Tim (Kimberly), Parker, Colo.; and Tom, Colchester, Ill and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Memorials may be made to Ozark National Scenic Riverways, c/o Donations, P.O. Box 490, Van Buren, MO 63965.

Cremation arrangements have been made at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, Il. 61820
