Charles 'Dick' Virgil Marshall

Savoy - Charles "Dick" Virgil Marshall, 75, passed away on Sunday September 10, 2017 at his home in Savoy, IL. He was born on June 2, 1942 to Charles E. and Naomi Marshall in Decatur, IL. Dick married Shirley Ann Unangst on July 19, 1964 in Champaign, IL. Dick is survived by his wife; son Donald (Julia) Marshall; granddaughters Aliz and Anna Marshall; brother Robert (Mary Lou) Marshall; nephew and niece Jeff and Barb Unangst; several other nieces and nephews; and his pet macaw, Fred. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Dick enjoyed coin collecting as well as building and flying model airplanes. Cremation rites have been allotted through Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL 61820. Private committal will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life service will be held in Dick's honor at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Dick's name to Carle hospice or the donor's choice.
