Charles Robert Clemmons, 72, of Alvin passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, IL. He was born on August 1, 1947 in Danville, IL

Charles aka CHAZOO, CHAZ was a very loving man who enjoyed working on cars, mushroom hunting, fishing and growing a garden. He especially enjoyed listening to Rock and Roll music. He enjoyed being around the family, especially during the holidays. He was an avid van owner and loved to drive all over the United States including California, Arizona, Oklahoma, Florida and everywhere in between. No matter how he felt, he would always make sure you were doing okay!

Charles leaves behind his son, Charles "Chuck" (Colleen) Clemmons Jr. and their children, Christopher (Alyson Morris) Clemmons, Austin (Victoria Williams) Clemmons, and Ian Clemmons; and one great grandchild, Alaina (Aaliyah). Also surviving is his stepdaughter, Lisa Campbell and her two children; one brother, John (Beverly) Newberry; close niece, Pam (Robert) York; and many nieces ,nephews and cousins .

Preceding Charles in death include his wife Sharon Clemmons; Mother, Helen Clemmons; stepdaughter, Tina Jordan and her daughter, Christina; five brothers; and three sisters.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Per Charles wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date.
