Charles 'Chuckie' Hagan, Sr.

Danville- Charles Chuckie Hagan, Sr., 61, of Danville passed away at 7:14 AM on March 8, 2010 at his residence. He was born on December 30, 1948 in Danville, and was the son of Vern and Artina York Cook. He is survived by 2 sons Scottie Hagan of Danville and Charles Chuckie Hagan, Jr. also of Danville; girlfriend Janine Hansbrough of Decatur; 2 sisters Susie Hagan of Danville and Charlene Hagan of Florida; 1 brother Bob Cotton; 7 grandchildren Savannah Hagan, Brandon Hagan, Domonic Hagan, Nazareth Hagan, Gabriel Hagan, Heaven Hagan and Alexis Hagan; special friend Jimmy D.F. Cotton, as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Chad Hagan. Chuckie worked with flooring, even helping his son start the business CLH Flooring. He enjoyed traveling to Florida, fishing, and had enjoyed building hot rods. He especially loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Charles Chuckie Hagan, Sr. will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Friday prior to the services also at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. In lieu of flowers, the family will gratefully appreciate memorials made to Charles Chuckie Hagan, Jr. to assist in covering final expenses.
