Charles 'Chuck' White

Charles V. Chuck White, 66, of Tilton, passed this Life on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Indianapolis Veterans Administration in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on July 11, 1944, the son of Vincent and Peggy (Blue) White. In 1964, Chuck married his first wife Jane May, and later married his second wife, Maria LacQuet in 1986. Survivors include his first wife, Jane, his second wife, Maria, and his four children, Tim White of Naperville, IL, Rusty White of Danville, Doug White of Danville, and Jodi (Scott) Hartman of Princeton, IL. His Seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, two brothers, John white of California, Robert White of North Carolina, and his sister, Margaret Loggins of Champaign, IL, also survive him. His parents preceded Chuck in death. Chuck was a graduate of Danville High School, and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a lifelong member of the AMBUCS. Chuck was also a familiar face on the Vermilion County Board, being elected in 2005. In addition to serving on the Vermilion County Board, Chuck also served a number of years on the Danville Township Board, being elected to another four-year term in 2009, as well as a Vermilion Manor Nursing Home Board Member. Chuck was a sign painter by trade, and owner/operator of Signs and Designs in Tilton, as well as heading up the Tilton Extravaganza Event each year. He was also a tool and dye maker and worked at various factories in the area. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and bowling, and will be missed by all that knew him. A Celebration of Charles Chuck Whites Life will began at 10:00am on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with burial to take place at Danville National Cemetery with full military honors following the service. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8pm on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the White family has asked to please make donations to a trust fund that has been set aside for Charles White, c/o Doug White.
