Charles Alva Chuck Leeman sr. 72, of Ridge Farm passed away at 2:54 p.m. Friday April 22, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on October 1, 1938 in Palestine, IL, the son of John W. Leeman and Rosa Graham, she died when he was only three and raised by his step-mother Nellie Parker Leeman. He married Ida Mae Jones on December 6, 1952 in Georgetown, she will miss him along with his daughters Deborah Leeman and Pamela Williford both of Ridge Farm, two sons; Charles (Teresa) Leeman Jr of Georgetown, Kenneth (Karla) Leeman of Danville, his grandchildren; Jeremy (Lacy) Leeman of Georgetown, Brett and Kyle Leeman of Georgetown, Bryce (Fianc(c) Jessica Rife) Leeman of Danville, Brady Leeman of Danville, Heather(Fiance Justin Arlington) Williford of Georgetown, Amanda (Scott) Maquet of Westville, Great-Grandchildren; Adrienne Williford, Daulton Williford, Cheynne Maquet, Calen Leeman, a special nephew Gerald (Nancy) Abrams off Eagleville, Pa, two great nieces; Sara and Diana Abrams, his aunt Elvena (Richard) Davidson of West Union, IL, brother-in-law Norm Abrams and several cousins. He was preceded by his parents, his sisters; Carol Larae Abrams, Fern Woolverton and a granddaughter Dawn Marie Williford. Chuck attended schools in Annapolis and Hutsonville, IL. He retired from General Motors in Tilton on July 31, 1991, he loved to watch Western movies and listening to country music. Chuck loved to sit on his front porch and watch all the wildlife around him also watching the birds at the bird feeder. Most of all chuck loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life funeral service for Chuck Leeman will be at 1:00p.m Tuesday April 26, 2011 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home in Georgetown. Officiating the service will be Jeffrey Leeman. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge farm. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 pm Monday April 25, 2011 at the funeral home.
