Charles "Chuck" Carter Bismarck Charles "Chuck" Carter of Bismarck passed away peacefully inhis sleep at 6:35 a.m. on August 1, 2015. He was born November 11, 1935 the son of Charles G. and LaVona Price Carter in Harrisburg, Ill. Chuck graduated from Danville High School with the class of 1954. He retired from Bismarck School District in 1997. On March 25, 1977, he married Lois Jean Brown in Danville, Ill. and they spent 38 wonderful years together before his passing. She will miss him dearly. Survivors include a much loved step daughter, Lynn (Jeff) Palmer of Oakwood, who, these last three months helped him travel down his final journey; a daughter, Marta (Mark) Fearon of Lone Tree, Col.; a step son, Jeff (Jackie Miller) Brown of Port Charlotte, Fla.; four grandchildren, Whitney (Troy) O'Bryan of Newman, Ga., Trevor and Derek Fearon of Lone Tree, Col. And Tye (Amy) Pasquale of Danville, Ill.; and three great grandchildren, Landen and Adelyn O'Bryan and Emma Pasquale. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Brad Carter. Chuck and Lois enjoyed traveling extensively after his retirement, throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. They Wintered for three months in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores Alabama area. He enjoyed watching freighters enter and leave the Soo Locks 2 weeks a year. They also enjoyed watching tennis, golf and other sporting events on TV. A celebration of Chuck's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Presence Cancer Center, the Danville Humane Society or the Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
