Charles 'Charlie' Beaver

Charles "Charlie" Beaver, 72, of Danville, passed away at 6:05am, August 27, 2023, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, IL. He was born on April 26, 1951, in Clinton, IN, to Earl and Mabel Rose Beaver. He had been married to Kathy Spickard. Charlie was proud of his longtime association with Marble Machine in Danville where he specialized in building and rebuilding machinery. He had many interests including fishing and crafting cigar box guitars. He loved to look for antiques and collect beer steins. Most of all, he loved spending time with family. He is survived by his mother, Mabel Boernson of Danville; his brother, Gary (Julie) Beaver of Westville; his sister, Linda (Gene) Zick of Greenville, IL; his stepchildren, Stephanie Keith, Jason Spickard, and Bradley Spickard; his step grandchildren; his niece Michele (Brad) Krieg of Greenville, IL; and his nephews, Michael (Sherry) Zick of Highland, IL, and Brian (Tuyen) Beaver of Westville. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Beaver; his infant brother, Richard Earl Beaver; his half-sister, Rita Morton; and nephew, Danny Beaver. Charlie will be greatly missed by family and friends. A celebration of Charlies life will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, September 1, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846 with Gene Zick officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery, Georgetown. Memorial donations may be given in his name to the donors choice of charity.
