Charles 'Buddy' Mycroft

Covington- Charles "Buddy" Mycroft, 76, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015. Buddy was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sandra in 2007 and his parents, Hershel and Mary Ellen (Walter) Mycroft. He leaves his daughter, Sheila (Charles) Roarks, his son, Mike Mycroft, his sister, Judy Watson, his brother-in-law, Ken (Vicki) Ricketts, his grandchildren; Elisha (Dusty) Goodwin, Tyler (Amber) Roarks, Mitchell (Angel) Roarks, Yancy Mycroft, Breanna Mycroft, Madison Dowers, Alec and Tori Bowling, great-grandchildren; Reed, Adyson, Urban, Jessica and Bo. Buddy was a lifelong resident of Covington. He joined the Navy in 1956 and served our country for three years. Shortly after his return he began working for the Indiana State Highway Department. He retired in 2008. He married Sandra in 1959 and enjoyed 47 great years with her before she lost her battle with cancer in 2007. For many years, the highlight of his week was Saturday nights with his special group of friends, Jack and Kay Hunter, Scott and Nancy Wallace, Roger and Patty Coffing and Sally Gritten. Buddy you will be deeply missed by all. May you rest in peace. A visitation to celebrate Buddy's life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM EST at Sunset's Covington Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Covington High School Athletic Department.
