Danville - Charles “Uncle Bernie” Reynolds, 84, of Tilton, passed away on May 16, 2014. He was born April 12, 1930 in Clarence, MO the son of George and Iva (Hartgrove) Reynolds. He is survived by his brother, Don (Donna) Reynolds of Danville; his sister, Betty Henry of Attica, IN; his step-daughter, Linda Race of Hobe Sound, FL; his granddaughter, Amy Farrow of Danville; Several Nieces and nephews; and a truly special friend, Carol Sivils of Tilton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his son, Bernie Wayne; and his parents. Bernie was a very caring man; he was always willing to help someone in their time of need. He was also a man who couldnt sit still; Bernie was always tinkering or fixing something. He loved planting and maintaining his vegetable garden. Bernie served his country in The United States Army from 1950 to 1953; he was also a member of the American Legion. Above all else, Bernie loved his family and he will be sorely missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him. A celebration of Bernies life will be held at 2pm on Monday May 19, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. A visitation will be held on Monday May 19, 2014 from 1pm to 2pm at the funeral home.
