Charles B. Weaver, Jr.

Newport, Ind. - Charles B. Weaver, Jr., 68, of Newport passed away Friday morning, May 31, 2019 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born August 12, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late Charles B. and Hermine (Jervis) Weaver, Sr.

Survivors include three sons: Chuck Weaver of Terre Haute, Indiana; Patrick Weaver of Lafayette, Indiana and Erik Weaver of Newport, Indiana; two grandchildren: Evalynn Rose Weaver and Jayden Weaver; sister: Donna King of Elyria, Ohio and brother: Tommy Weaver of Phoenix, Arizona.

Charles was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Charles retired from Inland Container in 2014. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Charles was a member of the Newport American Legion Post 184. He enjoyed working on cars and listening to music, especially the Beatles.

Graveside services and inurnment of cremains with military honors will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2 p.m. EDT (Indiana Time) at the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
