Charles A. Miller, 61, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:32am, Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Provena USMC in Danville. He was born on February 15, 1950, in Paris, IL, the son of Norman and Garnet {Lyons} Miller, both deceased. He is survived by: his life partner of 30 years, Gary Vinson of Georgetown; his daughter, Kristin Miller of Noblesville, IN; his brother, Ronnie (Pat) Chew of Sun City, AZ; his sisters, Patti Finklea of Wildwood, FL, & Bonnie (Larry) Campbell of The Villages, FL; his three nephews; two nieces; and his good friends, Bob & Karen Martin-Oberlander and Mary Jo Potter, both of Georgetown. Charles worked for Hyster as a partsman for 35 years. He enjoyed disco music, dancing, classic cars, and loved going out to restaurants. He adored his two dogs, B.G. & Zorro. Charles also enjoyed traveling, but especially cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bonnie Campbell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. As per his wishes he will cremated and interred at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorials may be made to Vermilion County Humane Society.
