Heaven welcomed this beautiful soul at 4:53pm on August 25, 2024, at Carle Foundation hospital, with her family by her side.
Charlene entered the world on June 6, 1961, as the youngest daughter of Dewey and Pat Acord. She spent her childhood in Tilton, IL, alongside her two sisters, Kay and Fay. On February 17, 1979, she married her soulmate, and they made Danville, IL their home, celebrating 45 years of marriage this year.
She has one daughter, Trista, whom she loved unconditionally. She was an exceptional mother and an even better GiGi to her only two grandchildren, Drew and Toby. They were her world, and she was theirs.
During her leisure time, she relished being with her loved ones, taking a dip in her pool, basking in the sunlight, cultivating flowers, and indulging in retail therapy. She excitedly awaited many covered bridge festival adventures with her husband, daughter, sisters, and nieces.
When not with her family, she could be found managing Citi Trends in Danville, IL, where she enjoyed interacting with her coworkers and customers. She loved helping everyone; she was a wonderfully selfless and loving person with a heart of gold.
She will be deeply missed and treasured in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her husband Timothy W. Price, of Danville, IL, her daughter, Trista (A.J.) Biggs of Georgetown, IL, two grandchildren, Drew and Toby Biggs of Georgetown, IL, mother-in-law, Shirley Price of Danville, IL, her two sisters, Viola Kay (Dave) Barnette of Tilton, IL and Zella Fay (Claude Leroy) Hughes of Oakwood, IL. As well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents Orville Dewey and Patrica Acord, Her father-in-law Gene Price, one niece Lisa Barnette and one great niece Gracie Jones.
