Charlean Jenkins

Champaign- Charlean Jenkins 80, of Champaign IL passed away on July 12, 2017 at Carle Hospital in Urbana IL. Charlean was born on January 8, 1937 in Sunflower River MS the daughter of Willie and Bernice Scott. She married Harvey Jenkins on April 2, 1955 in Shelby MS he survives. Charlean was a retired textile seamstress. She enjoyed singing, dancing and doing puzzles but, her favorite pastime was cooking for and spending time with her family. Charlean is survived by her sons; Rico (Kim), Willie (Karmin), Greg (Helen), daughters; Alice, Brenda (Daryll), brothers; Walter, Eddie, David, Sammy, sisters; Bay-Mae, Lottie, Gracie and Juanita as well as twenty-nine grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brothers; Richard and Willie and her sisters; Roselee, Annie and Addie Jean. A memorial service will be held for Charlean at a later date.
