Charity M. Reeves ,84, of Danville passed away at 11:45pm on Monday February 11,2008 at her residence. Charity was born November 14, 1923 in Danville the daughter of Martin Luther and Mattie May Watson Cline. On March 2,1946 she married Fay Reeves in Danville he preceded her in death on November 30, 2000. They had a son Gregory Reeves who also preceded them in death. Charity is survived by 2 sister-in-laws Margaret Cline and Daisy Cline and a brother-in-law Charles Charlie Taylor, and a grandson Russell all of Danville; great grandsons Gavin and Evan; also a host of nieces and nephews George A. (Lynn) Cline, Michael Cline, Linda Thompson, Brenda Williams, David Cline, Chuck (Becci) Cline, Beth (Mike) Offutt, Steve Talbert and Vicki, Cheryl (Warren) Buck and many great nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. All which were very near and dear to her heart. Charity was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fay, her son Greg,; brothers, sisters and brother-in-law George Cline, Wilbur Cline, Keith Cline, Harold Cline, Mildred (S.G. Fuzzy) Griffith, Roy (Joe) Cline and Helen Taylor. Also a nephew James H. Talbert. Aunt Charity will always be remembered for the Cline family Christmas gatherings and the large meal that we had. A special thanks goes to her caregivers Donna and great niece Heather who was so good at taking care of her and helping as needed even after she had gone home for the night. Heather moved in and has been with her in her final weeks and days. Along with other family members who have helped in recent days. Charity was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She had worked as a waitress at the Brown Derby, Elks and retired from Sears after many years of running the snack bar there. After retirement she and uncle Fay watched many children some family andmany many others. All of them touched their hearts in many many ways. Aunt Charity was a huge Cub and Illini Basketball fan. She was one of the biggest fans of the Oakwood Comets she supported them from her son Greg and down to all of the nieces and nephews who attended there. Best known for her enthusiastic cheering and yelling at the players, coaches and especially the referees. She also loved roller skating in her younger years and taught many of the kids to skate. We will miss her always. A celebration of Charitys life will be held at the Faith Baptist Church 920 Warrington Ave. at 1:00pm on Saturday February 16, 2008. Pastors Allan Rudie and Peter Wright will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery. Visitation Friday February 15, 2008 from 4-8:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N. Vermilion St. and one hour prior at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Vermilion Co. War Museum or the Faith Baptist Church.
