Chad Corbin Potts

Chad Corbin Potts, 37, of Rantoul, IL passed away on May, 2024 at 10:10 p.m. at Carle Hospital, Urbana IL.

He was born October 28, 1986 in Urbana, the son of Ralph "Dutch" Potts III and Beverly Ann (Birkey) Potts.  They survive.

Chad was a 2006 graduate of Rantoul Township High School, he started working in his sophomore year at the Rantoul Walmart and worked there for 14 years.

He was a lifetime member of the First Mennonite Church of Urbana.

He loved to draw and work in water paints.  Chad was also a huge fan of dogs, especially Siberian Huskies.

His ashes will be buried at the East Bend Mennonite Cemetery, Fisher in a private ceremony.

A Peace Homecoming Service will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at the Dewey Community Church. Pastor Michael Crosby and Pastor Deb Sutter will officiate.

There will be a gathering time for family and friends for 2 hours prior to the service, also at the church.

Lux Memorial Chapel, Rantoul is handling the arrangements.
