Chad Allen Urich

Chad Allen Urich, age 36 of Champaign, passed away at his home Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 9:32AM. He was born March 10, 1979 in Lafayette, IN the son of Jerry and Kristine Urich. Chad leaves behind so many people that will miss his smile and caring attitude especially his parents, Kristine (Dewayne) Urich-Posey of Champaign and Jerry (Gayle) Urich of Milford; siblings, Michael and Breonna Urich of Champaign; grandpa, Fred Smith of Hoopeston; grandma, Marie Urich of Hoopeston; uncles Rick Smith, Joe Smith, Larry Urich, and Terry Urich; aunt, Kim Smith; and many other special relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandma, Doris Smith and grandpa, Carter Urich. Chad loved the Lord and was a member of Judah Temple of Deliverance. He was also a member of AMBUCS and loved all the fun activities and friends he made through the organization. He was an avid bowler and liked golf. During Chad's down time you could find him watching Dora or game shows on TV. He loved to watch Family Feud. Chad also enjoyed watching the entertainer, Ricky Scaggs. Chad wore a hat wherever he went and loved hats. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and cheered them on every game they played. A Celebration of Chad's life will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville. Pastor D. Brandon Shaw will officiate. Chad will be laid to rest at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston. Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2015 from 12-2 PM prior to the service.
