Chad A. Norris

Newport, Ind. - Chad A. Norris, 40, of Newport, passed away at 10:23 p.m. EST Monday, January 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 8, 1973 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Jay and Doris A. Spoon Norris. Chad married Deana Zumwalt on February 22, 1997 in Newport, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Kylah and Jayde Norris both of Newport, Indiana; his parents, Jay(Doris)Norris of Montezuma, Indiana; father and mother-in-law, Dick(Martha)Zumwalt of Newport, Indiana; one sister, Melissa Norris of Clinton, Indiana; one brother, Tony(Amy)Norris of Montezuma, Indiana; brother and sister-in-law's, Kory(Staci)Zumwalt of Newport, Indiana and Troy(Cindy)Zumwalt of Danville, Illinois; one niece, Emma Pruett; three nephews, Kody Zumwalt; Trent Zumwalt and Christopher Pruett; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Chad worked as a machine operator at the Thyssen Krupp forging plant in Danville, Illinois. He was a 1991 graduate of Riverton Parke High School. Chad enjoyed motocross racing and watching the Indianapolis Colts. He especially enjoyed going to his daughter's sporting events. Funeral services: 11 a.m. EST Friday, January 31, 2014 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Ramona Trover; Burial: Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EST Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the funeral home.
