Catherine "Cathy" Sue Paxton, 63, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She was born on August 8, 1953, the daughter of William Bill' and Joanne {Olsen} Bina. She was united in marriage to Stephen Fatty' Paxton on May 3, 1980, at Kennekuk County Park, Danville. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her son, Luke (Ashley Boen) Paxton; her god-sons, whom she helped to raise, Ryan (Abbey) Rummel and Jason (Bree) Rummel; her sister, Tracy (John) Sleva; her grandchildren, Ashton Pilkington, Keely Paxton, Kole Paxton, Knoll Paxton, Owen Parker Mariage-Tucker, Aryann Rummel, Lawson Rummel, & Sloane Rummel; her nieces & nephews, Dylan Bina, Jace Bina, Eric (Kaylen Hoskins) Bina, Alex Sleva, Owen Sleva; her great nieces & great nephews, Quentin Bina, Ethan Bina, Preslee Bina; and her special friends, Kim & Karen Rummel, Mary Jo & John Reed, Norma & Steve Beresford, and Jane & Russ Guthrie. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her parents-in-law, Joe & Patty Paxton; her brother, Terry Lee Bina; her sister, Jenifer Jo Bina; and her sister-in-law, Debbie Bina; and her brother-in-law, Joe E. Paxton. Cathy worked as a Certified Medical Assistant at Dr. Ochoa's office, Teen Reach, & later at Catholic Charity Services, retiring in 2006. She was fond of all animals, especially horses. She was a big fan of the Chicago Bears and loved riding motorcycles. She had a warm and giving personality and it showed with her love for her family and friends, particularly her grandchildren. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. After the services, a celebration of Cathy's life will follow at the Towne & Country Tap, Ridge Farm. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Vermilion County Handicapped Association or Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
