Cathy Jo Cintella

Cathy Jo Cintella, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 4, 1952, the daughter of Wayne and Sara (Crawford) Brooks in Danville, IL. They precede her in death.

Also preceding Cathy in death was her husband, who passed in 2002, Richard Cintella; and her brother, Dennis Brooks.

Cathy leaves behind her son, Dennis (Carrie) Stevenson of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren Mallory and Macey; sister, Susan Brooks of Danville, IL; and her life partner, Lewis Lockhart.

After retiring from the V.A. Illiana Health Care, Cathy enjoyed keeping up with family and friends. Those that knew Cathy will remember her as a neat freak and a caregiver. She was always taking care of everyone else. It was her way. Along those same lines she was always ready with helpful advice, that was always right.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements. Per Cathys wishes there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made in Cathys name to your favorite group or charity.
