Cathy Lynn Fink

Cathy Lynn Fink, a beloved member of the Danville community, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on August 1, 1951, in Danville, IL, she spent her life surrounded by the warmth and familiarity of her hometown.

Cathy dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a clerk at CRIS Senior Services, where her kindness and dedication shone through every interaction. She was deeply committed to improving the lives of those she served, embodying the spirit of compassion that residents of Danville have come to cherish.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Cathy nurtured a variety of interests that brought joy not only to her but also to those around her. She was an ardent supporter of the Chicago Cubs and the Illinois Fighting Illini. Her creative side flourished through her hobbies in arts and crafts, particularly needlepoint, where she expressed her artistic flair and love for creating heartfelt gifts.

Cathy's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her cherished son, Kyle Fink, and her loving daughter, Ashley (Brian) Pollitt. Cathy was a proud grandmother to Miles and Vivian, whose laughter and joy filled her heart with happiness. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Donna Johnson, and her brothers, Louis (Judy) Farnsworth and Bill Farnsworth.

Cathy now joins her late mother, Gladys Farnsworth, her father, Benjamin Farnsworth, her sister, Carol Zimmerman, and her brother, David Farnsworth, in eternal rest.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday Feb. 28, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834. Officiating will be Raymie Gordon. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
