Catherine Tintorri Mackin Webb

Catherine Tintorri Mackin Webb, 100, of Danville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville. Catherine was born on January 4, 1909, in Cardiff, Illinois, the daughter of Louis and Theresa Boggio Tintorri. On July 3, 1933, she married Everett Arnold Mackin in Terre Haute, Indiana. Everett passed away on February 26, 1968. On October 31, 1970, Catherine married Eugene F. Webb in Danville. He passed away on December 4, 2000. She is survived by three daughters- Sandra Brooks of Danville, Marilyn (Paul) Myers of Greencastle, Indiana and Karen (Charles) Davidson of Greenfield, Indiana. Catherine has seven grandchildren: Charles and Mark Brooks, Larry and Ken Myers, Charles and Eric Davidson and Catherine Mackey, plus 11 great-grandchildren. She has one surviving sister-CeCelia Reasor of Danville, and four brothers- Louis Tintorri of Danville, James (Clarice) Tintorri of Georgetown, Charles (Nellie) Tintorri of Georgetown and Joseph Tintorri of Vacaville, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two infant siblings. Catherine graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1931 with top scholastic honors. In February 1971, she retired from General Motors as an industrial nurse. She previously worked at St. Elizabeths Hospital. Catherine has been a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, reading, walking and traveling. A Graveside Service for Catherine Tintorri Mackin Webb will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Springhill Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Springhill Cemetery.
