Catherine Newell

RIDGE FARM- Catherine Cathy Newell, 51, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 5:23pm on Friday, December 22, 2006 at Provena USMC in Danville. Mrs. Newell was born on July 22, 1955, in Danville, the daughter of Martin and Winifred (Johnson) Sollars. Both her parents precede her in death. On February 22, 1975, Cathy married Randy Newell in Georgetown. He survives and will miss her dearly. Other survivors include her son; Randy (Nickie Miller) Newell II of Veedersburg, Ind, her two daughters; Crystal (James) Osborn of Sidell, and Tracy Newell of Danville. Her nine grandchildren; Courtney Osborn, Mikey Stevens, Katherine Newell, Dylan Newell, Randy Newell III, Christian Newell, Nicholis Newell, Nathan Newell, and Daniel Newell. Also surviving are her four brothers; Martin (Sandra) Sollars of Westville, Charles Sollars of Laguna, Niguel, Cal., Texas (Terri) Sollars of Williamsport, Ind, Mark (Rhonda) Sollars of Grape Creek, and her sister, Shirley Morgan also of Grape Creek. One brother and two sister-in-laws precede Cathy in death. Cathy was a house wife that enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, playing Bingo, listening too the music of Elvis Presley, and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed.
