Catherine Lawson

Catherine Lawson, 75, of Covington, passed away at 5:42am, Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Waters of Covington. She was born on October 18, 1947, the daughter of Carl and Elizabeth Jennie {Oakes} Bowers. She was wed to John Lawson until his passing on October 22, 2019. She is survived by her sister, Beth Jones, and her brother, Darrell (Jane) Bowers, both of Covington. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Carla Sue and Patricia Ann. Catherine was a homemaker who enjoyed talking with everyone. She could be seen walking all over Covington visiting with everyone at the library, Caseys, County Market, Rileys, and the Bank. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Covington. Her presence in the community will be missed. As per her request, Catherine will be accorded cremation rites and her arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932.
