Catherine Gustus

Catherine L. Gustus, age 81, of Tilton, passed away at 3:17 pm on Friday, March 30, 2007 at Provena USMC in Danville. She was born December 26, 1925 the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Mapes) Green. She married Floyd E. Gustus Jr. on June 29, 1947 in Danville. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1993. Catherine is survived by one son: James Gustus of Overland Park, Kansas; one daughter: Marcia (Donald) Redman of Tilton; one brother: Russell (Shirley) Green of Ogden, IL; and four grandchildren: Jennifer (Rob) Allen of Georgetown, Jason (Lauren) Redman of Urbana, James and Kelsey Gustus of Overland Park, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister: Roberta Hawkins. Catherine worked as a lunch lady at South View Middle School for 23 years until her retirement. After her retirement she acted as a substitute lunch lady whenever needed. She enjoyed plastic canvas, word jumbles, and collecting angels. Catherine loved doing work in her yard. She was a member of Central Park Church of Christ.
