Carrol D. Sprouls

Cayuga, Ind. - Carrol D. Sprouls, 84, of Cayuga passed away at 7:22 a.m. EST Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Franciscan Health Lafayette in Lafayette, Indiana.

Carrol was born August 29, 1936 in Georgetown, Illinois the son of the late George and Erschel (Hughes) Sprouls.

Carrol married Anita Marie Berlin on August 28, 1955 in Sidell, Illinois. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2002.

Survivors include his daughter: Lora Ann (Jerry) Metzger of Delphi, Indiana; four sons: Glen (Lois) Sprouls of Illinois; Roy (Sheri) Sprouls of Oakwood, Illinois; Leland (Andrea) Sprouls and George (Janet) Sprouls both of Cayuga, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sharon (Allan) Bennett of Wisconsin, and Sandra Kidwell of Illinois; brother: Craig (Sandi) Sprouls of North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.

Carrol formerly owned and operated Sprouls Country Kitchen in Cayuga, Indiana. He was a member of the Second Church of Christ in Danville, Illinois. Carrol was a member of The Gideon's International. He enjoyed going on mission trips, hunting, fishing, yard work and listening/playing Blue Grass music.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. EST Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Cayuga Christian Church, 406 South Logan Street, Cayuga, Indiana 47928, Officiating: Ashton Stewart; Burial: Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana; Visitation: Noon EST Wednesday, December 2, 2020 until time of services at the church. Due to the current Governor Mandate and per the family's request, face coverings will be required. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
