Carrie Wood

Carrie Anne Wood, age 36, of Danville, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Provena USMC in Danville. She was born August 20, 1973 in Pontiac, Michigan the daughter of Tim and Sandra (Gorsline) Wood. Carrie met and spent nineteen years with Brian Mackiewicz and they where united in marriage on January 11, 2008. He survives. She is also survived by one son: William Wood; her mother; one brother: Steve Wood; a sister: Ginger (Ken) Reed; her paternal grandfather: William Wood; her loving in-laws: Paul and Ruth Mackiewicz; her sister-in-law and best friend: Amy Potter; and four nieces: Caitlynn, Ashlynn, Aleah, and Lily. Carrie was preceded in death by her father. Carrie graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Eastern Illinois University. She worked at Walgreens Accounting for the past fifteen years. Carrie enjoyed traveling, reading, photography, and cooking. She loved spending time at the family cabin in Northern Michigan. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Per Carries wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville. Memorial donations can be made in Carries name to the family.
