Carrie Teegarden

Carrie L. (Goble) Arnold Teegarden, age 88, of Oakwood, passed away at 12:52 pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Provena USMC. She was born July 18, 1919 in West Hillery, IL the daughter of Alfred and Leota B. Goble. Carrie married Elmer G. Arnold on June 29, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1972. She then married Hubert M. Teegarden on November 24, 1973. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1996. Carrie is survived by her four children: Richard L. (Myra) Arnold of Lake Wales, FL, Joyce E. Williams of Danville, Stephen E. (Coleen) Arnold of Pueblo, CO, and Janice (Lewis) Tarquini of Oakwood, five step children: Robert (Willie) Teegarden of Carthage, MO, David (Beverly) Teegarden of Rossville, IL, Paul (Ann) Teegarden of Hoopeston, Esther (Max) Page of Hoopeston and Kathy (George) McQueen of Danville, one sister: Bertha Wise of Arcola, IL, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also had seven brothers and four sisters that preceded her in death. Carrie worked for several years in sales at Woolworths, Montgomery Wards, Goldblatz and L. Meis Department Stores. She lived a happy life worshipping God in the Nazarene Church of Oakwood and the Lone Oak Church of Christ in Danville. Her favorite pastimes where: crafts, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends. Carrie was loved and cherished by every life she touched. A celebration of the life of Carrie Teegarden will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Gary Kans officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Oakwood. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2007 at the funeral home.
