Carrie Nixon, of Danville was taken abruptly on the dawn of April 17, 2020 in a tragic automobile accident.
She was born on August 25, 1976 to her beloved parents Michael and Christina Nixon in Danville.
Carrie is the loving mother to Ciara Nixon, Kaylie Jenkins, and Joseph Jenkins. She is the cherished sister to; Leah Rys, Rena (Chris) McMahon, Sarah (Jose) Torres, Jessica (Ryan) Gawinski, half siblings and several nieces and nephews. Also, surviving is her childrens father, Donny Jenkins.
Carrie was an amazing cook who enjoyed cooking Thanksgiving dinner with her mom for the whole family. She loved to fish with her dad and spent most of her mornings sipping coffee with him, her children and her sisters. Her vivacious personality lit every room she walked into with no intention and left a smile on every face she encountered. Carrie lived her life as a free spirit, had a heart of gold, and would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. She loved and touched the hearts of every soul she met. Carrie will be missed most by her family but near equally by all who knew her.
Carrie graduated from Danville High School in 1994. She was baptized at Living Water Apostolic Church in 2008 and recently worked at Danville Metal Stamping and Proex.
A private service with immediate family will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville, Il 61834 at a later date. Carrie will be cremated, then interred at Sunset Memorial Park. In the near future friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Carrie Ann Nixon.
