Carolyn K. Zaayer, 71, of Danville passed away at 12:32 p.m. Saturday February 5, 2011 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was born on August 18, 1939 in Robinson, IL the daughter of Charles and Maxine (Rich) Mills. Charles passed away when Carolyn was young, and her mother married Willard Roberts who raised her as his own. She married James Zaayer on June 23, 1957 in Robinson, IL. He survives. Other survivors include her three sons, Mike (Vickie) Zaayer of Tilton, Rick (Amy) Zaayer of Danville, and Steve (Tina) Zaayer of Bloomington, IN; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Nicole) Zaayer, Brandon (Lacey) Zaayer, Dusty Zaayer, Kasie Zaayer, Amanda Noel, Bryce Zaayer, and Joey Zaayer; seven great grandchildren; her brother, Bill Mills of Robinson, IL and two special nieces Nikki and Amber Parker of Danville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grand-daughter. Carolyn worked at Steelgrip as a seamstress for 15 years. She then became a C.N.A. and worked at the Cardiac Unit at Lakeview. She later worked at Colonial Manor and for Dr. Page at the Back Pain Clinic. Carolyn enjoyed listening to gospel music, going camping but most of all she loved watching her children and grandchildren at sporting events.
