Carolyn Taylor

Carolyn Taylor of Villa Grove, IL. formerly of Covington, IN. passed away on Saturday, September, 30th 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on April 29th, 1942 in Chicago, IL. the daughter of Christian and Lucille (Hansen) Philips.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Rudy) Melzer, Diana (Greg) Vocks, Kathleen (Kirk) Vocks, Barbara Taylor, Jennifer Taylor, Gary (Melody) Taylor and James (Pamela) Taylor. Brother, Tom (Carol) Philips, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn enjoyed cooking, camping, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered as a fun and loving person who was always there to take care of others. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Taylor and sister Jane Meneghini.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Carolyns name to the Champaign County Humane Society 4003 Kearns Dr. Champaign, IL. 61822

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, October 12th 2023 at Hebron Cemetery in Newtown. IL.
