Carolyn "Sue" Tucker Nasser died February 3, 2023 with her loving family at her side. Sue was born in Georgetown, Illinois on October 28, 1933 to Phillip Raymond and Rosella Marie (Henson) Tucker. She grew up in Ridgefarm, Illinois until her family moved to Westville, Illinois during Sues senior year in high school. On a blind date, Sue met the love of her life Edward "Ray" Nasser. Shortly after Rays return from the Korean War they were engaged and married on her birthday in 1953. During their 69 years of marriage Sue was blessed with four children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Sue will always be remembered as a kind-spirited woman whose compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ (East Park and Orchard Hills), active in the community and served on the board of directors for the Illinois Bell Credit Union and treasurer for the VFW Womens Auxiliary. Sue was employed by Illinois Bell prior to a long tenure with Chuckles Candy Factory where she made numerous lifelong friends. Sue was preceded in death by both sons Michael and William, her brother Kenneth "Tuck" Tucker, grandson Andrew Rayburn, son-in-law Jeffrey Miller and daughter-in-law Kendall. She is survived by her devoted husband Ray, daughters Susan (Michael) Rayburn and Stacey Miller, grandchildren Katy (Shane) Troup, Max Miller and Morgan, Mason & Kenzie Nasser, as well, as great-grandchildren Decker, Jackson and Ryker Troup. Sue is also survived by her sister-in-law Anne Tucker and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank Vicky (Nasser) Mowery and Whitney Stephens for their continuous loving care and support. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 11:00am - 12:30pm followed by funeral services from 12:30 - 1:30pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Danville, Illinois. Graveside service will be at the National Cemetery located at Danville Veterans Administration 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Sue Nassers memory to the charity of your choice.
