Carolyn Sue Hanburger

Georgetown, Ill. - Carolyn Sue Hanburger, 69, of Georgetown, passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, March 1, 2019 due to injuries sustained from a house fire at her residence.

She was born October 19, 1949 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Anna E. (Priest) Shannon and Robert Shannon.

Survivors include her children: Nancy (Warren) Mariage of Ridge Farm, Illinois and Kelly (Kim) Shannon of Westville, Illinois; her mother: Anna E. Shannon of Newman, Illinois, and three grandchildren: Alyssa Mariage; Cortney Dolph and Robert Dolph.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father. Her son, Harold Dolph joined her in Heaven a short time later.

Carolyn was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and listening to music. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. EST at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana. There will be no services. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to help with expenses.
