Carolyn Sue Pichon, 83, of Delphi, IN, formerly of Danville, IL passed away at 6:54 AM on June 29, 2024 at St Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi, IN,
Carolyn was born on March 31, 1941 the daughter of Ralph and Ercel (Watson) Dines in Bismarck, IL. She married Frank Pichon on June 25, 1962 of which one child, Scott Pichon, was born and they later divorced in 1979.
Survivors include her son, Scott (Tammy) Pichon of Camden, IN, three grandchildren, Beth Ann Lazarus of Lafayette, IN, Michael Voorhees of Camden, IN and Amanda Lazarus of Delphi, IN, eleven great grandchildren, Kayliegh Camp of Delphi, IN, Makayla Camp of Camden, IN, Khoner Camp of Camden, IN, Malachi Voorhees of Camden, IN, Kiyren Voorhees of Camden, IN, Wyatt Warf of Delphi, IN, Cheyenne Warf of Delphi, IN, Josiah Jones, Jeremiah Brown, Timmy Brown, and Nephi Brown all of Lafayette, IN, as well as two siblings, Linda Smith of Danville, IL and Sandy (Larry) Steinbaugh of Bismarck, IL.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ronald "Tiny" Dines, Gerald Dines, Larry Dines, Max Dines, Bill Dines, Don Dines and Ralph "Cutie" Dines, and sisters, Beverly Mills, Ruth Patton and Barbara Clapp.
Carolyn retired from Walmart in Danville in 2013. She enjoyed spending her free time flower gardening, completing word search puzzles, and watching television, especially Fox News, taking long drives in the country, and loved to eat popcorn. She also enjoyed helping raise her great grandchildren and attending their sporting events and other activities. Carolyn was a wonderful cook and was known for making the best peanut butter fudge, Waldorf Salad, ham salad and homemade french fries.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL. James Blue officiate. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in Carolyns memory to a Dementia or Cancer charity of the donors choice.
