Carolyn Merrifield

Urbana - Carolyn J. Merrifield, 65, of Urbana passed away at 6:52am, Sunday January 29, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born on May 18, 1951, in Champaign, the daughter of Alex & Marie (Mullins) Shaw, both deceased. She was united in marriage for 48 years to Daniel Merrifield on December 27, 1968, he still survives. She will be dearly missed by: her children, Thejuan Merrifield & Danielle Merrifield both of Urbana; grandchildren, Kquan Robinson, Heshvanc & Skyros Merrifield; two sisters & one brother. She was preceded in death by: one sister & five brothers. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a very giving person & would help anyone she could. Also, loved cooking for her family, she will be greatly missed. A graveside service to honor Carolyn's life will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2016 at National Cemetery, Danville.
