Carolyn M Ludington

Carolyn M. Ludington, 76, of Danville, IL passed away at 1:12 AM on November 4, 2025 at Accolade Healthcare in Danville, IL with her family by her side.

Carolyn was born on January 8, 1949 in Portland, IN the daughter of Harley and Betty (St John) Bishop. She married William Ludington on November 22, 1970 in Simmesport, LA and he survives.

Survivors include her husband, William Ludington of Danville, IL, two sons, Samuel (David) Taylor-Ludington of Danville, IL and William (Samantha) Ludington of Hoopeston, IL, four grandchildren, Gabe, Grace, Sawyer and Frankie Ludington as well as one sister, Sharon (Allen) Stultz of Apolo Beach, FL and lifelong friend, Linda Eads of Berne, IN.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents.

Carolyn served in the ministry alongside her husband for many years at the First Evangelical Methodist Church of Oakwood in Oakwood, IL. She enjoyed spending her free time playing the piano, singing, and reading her Bible. Carolyn always stayed busy and enjoyed cooking for senior citizens and working at the Oakwood Public Library.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Oakwood First Evangelical Methodist Church, 108 W North Main Street, Oakwood, Illinois 61858. Pastor Jeremy Martens will officiate. Burial will be in Stearns Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM at the church.
