Carolyn F. Lawson

Carolyn F. Lawson, born on September 24, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on January 2, 2026, in Gibson City, Illinois.

Carolyn was an active member of the Rantoul Christian Church and dedicated many years to serving as a receptionist for Rantoul Jr. High School. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed watching Hoosier basketball.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Burton, her granddaughter, Carol Burton, and her great-grandchildren, Bentley and Jamison Boyle. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis King, and her best friend and partner, Clyde.

The memory of Carolyn Lawson will be cherished by all who knew her, remembered for her kindness and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her spirit will undoubtedly live on in the lives she touched and the memories they hold dear.
