Carolyn J Samaras

Carolyn J. Samaras, 91, of Danville, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away at her home on July 3, 2014, with family by her side. Carolyn was born the only daughter of J. Everett and Helen (Spencer) Brown on June 2, 1923, in Thayer, IL. Carolyn married Alexander G. Samaras on December 26, 1943, in Virden, IL, he survives. Also surviving Carolyn are two sons; David Samaras of Springfield, IL and Mark (Julie) Samaras of Waverly, IL; one daughter Nancy (Thomas) Fahey of Danville; one daughter in law Anne Samaras of Poway, CA; ten grandchildren Trace (Sarah) Johnson, Catherine (Kyle) Neumann, Georgianna Samaras, Christopher Samaras, Rebecca LaPiana, Jennifer (Rich) Famiglietti, Christianne (John Wood) Samaras, Alexander D. Samaras, Alexander P. Samaras and Carolyn (Mike) Austin; seven great grandchildren Freddie Famiglietti, Sammy Famiglietti, Alexa LaPiana, Paige Wood, Kaleb Neumann, Kamryn Neumann, Zoe Austin. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, one son Paul Samaras, one brother Stuart Brown. A Celebration of Carolyns Life will be held at The Church of The Holy Trinity at 308 N. Vermilion St. Danville IL on Monday July 7, 2014, at 10:00 am with Father Scanlon officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Sunday July 6, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Memorials may be made in Carolyns name to Church of The Holy Trinity or VFW post 3510 both of Danville.
