Carolyn Adelaide Westfall

CHAMPAIGN - Carolyn Adelaide Westfall, 84, passed away at the Bickford of Champaign on Friday January 19, 2018. She was born on December 14, 1933 in Iowa City, IA. Carolyn widowed in 1967 when her husband Major Bernard L. Westfall of Lone Tree, IA perished in service of his country. Also preceded in death by parents Aubrey & Cleora White & siblings Helen Hurt, Bob White, Don White, Jeanne Hoppe, Ruth White & Jerry White, all of Iowa City. Carolyn is survived by children Vicki (John) Montgomery, Lon (Ruth) Westfall & Mark (Patty) Westfall; grandchildren Morgan, Kelsey & Shelby Montgomery, Robert Westfall, Jennifer Bailey, Christina Boyd & great-grandchildren Benjamin Bailey & Emma Boyd. Her life experience took her to Big Spring, TX, Las Vegas, NV, Misawa Japan, Moultrie, GA, Iowa City, IA, San Antonio TX, Guatemala City, Guatemala & Lone Tree, IA before moving to Champaign, IL where she as a single parent raised her three children to adulthood. Her experience as the wife of an Air Force Pilot found her managing charitable & social events. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Junior League of Champaign Urbana & the Newcomer's Club. Carolyn's family would like to thank the loving staff of the Bickford of Champaign. May God bless them & our Mother on her journey to reunite with our Father. Services will be held at an undetermined date where she will join her husband at Arlington National Cemetery.
